Red Rock Power has shared letters of exclusivity with Vestas for turbines and with Jones Bros for balance of plant and civil engineering works for the 72MW Benbrack wind farm in Scotland.
The late-stage onshore wind development, located in Dumfries and Galloway in the south-west of the country is preparing to commence onsite works in July this year.
Vestas’ Edinburgh team will oversee the supply and installation of up to 18 turbines and deliver a long-term service and maintenance agreement.
Jones Bros will manage the works from its regional office in Bellshill, North Lanarkshire, overseeing operations and local procurement.
Benbrack project director Jamie Grant said: “This is a key milestone for the project as we accelerate towards the start of construction.
“Both Jones Bros and Vestas bring invaluable experience in delivering onshore wind projects and share our attitude towards safety and efficiency.
“We will work closely to further optimise and finalise the wind farm’s design with a key aim of maximising energy generation.”
Jonas Bros contracts director Garod Evans said: “This project is great news for our Scottish team who are all passionate about making an impact through renewables.
“Our team has a strong track record in projects of this stature across Scotland.”
