Renewables equity fund Windin Capital has completed the acquisition of an operational wind farm and two wind projects in Chile, totalling 104MW.
The projects, in the regions of Biobio and la Araucania, are the 32.4MW La Flor, the 37.8MW Vergara and the 33.6MW Cancura.
La Flor wind farm has been in operation since October 2019 and consists of nine 3.6MW Vestas turbines.
Vergara and Cancura are under development and are expected to start construction towards the end of 2022.
Law firm Perez-Llorca’s team in Madrid was the advisor in this transaction.
Windin Capital has also opened a strategic office in Barcelona, Spain, with a dedicated development team on the ground to further develop six renewable energy projects with a total capacity of more than 300 MW in Spain, as well as future operations and investments in Europe and Latin America.
