Repsol has acquired 250MW of wind and solar development assets from German developer ABO Wind.
The deal includes three wind farms totalling 150MW and two PV projects of 100MW in the province of Palencia.
All are at an advanced stage of development, already have a positive Environmental Impact Statements and are expected to come into operation between 2024 and 2025.
The projects will share interconnection infrastructure with part of PI, Repsol’s first renewable project in Castilla y León, located between Palencia and Valladolid, which recently began operating the first wind turbines of the La Serna wind farm in the town of Ciguñuela, Valladolid.
The terms of the deal have not been disclosed but ABO will stay on to further rdevelop the projects.
In total, Repsol’s Spanish pipeline now totals 3.2GW of projects in operation or development.
