RES is to supply global food company General Mills with renewable energy credits (RECs) generated by the 150MW Cactus Flats wind farm in Texas.
The 15-year deal for 100MW of RECs will help fund the construction of the project in Concho County.
The project is expected to create about 250 jobs during peak construction.
General Mills executive vice president of supply chain John Church said: “This investment is another step towards reducing our energy footprint and achieving sustainable emission levels – in line with scientific consensus – by 2050.”
