RES and development partners have officially opened the 240MW Ararat wind farm in the Australian state of Victoria.
The $450m project comprises 75 GE 3.2-103 machines and has an agreement to provide the Australian Capital Territory with 40% of electricity produced from the site.
It was constructed by GE and Downer, while RES, GE, Partners Group and OPTrust financed the wind farm.
Ararat has been fully operational since April.
