Romania has launched its third Contract for Difference auction, with 290MW of new onshore wind and solar capacity up for grabs.
The maximum strike price for the auction has been set at €80/MWh for onshore wind.

In order to participate in the auction bidders must submit a technical offer with proposed installed capacity and a target date, and a financial offer specifying the proposed strike price.
The estimated budget of the scheme is €3bn, with financing provided by the Modernisation Fund and the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP).
The application deadline is 14 November. with qualified bidders notified by 24 November.
Successful applicants will be notified by 3 December.
