Senvion is designing a new 3.7MW turbine for the 429MW Murra Warra wind farm in Victoria, Australia.
The German manufacturer has signed a delivery partnership agreement with RES Australia for 116 3.7M144 machines.
Senvion said the agreement is for the early works which are currently underway and is a precursor to financial close of the project.
It added that the new design is currently being developed and will be added to the Senvion portfolio for other projects.
Senvion chief executive Jürgen Geissinger said: “We are very pleased to be collaborating with RES and its project partners on this significant project.”
