Senvion secures 108MW of Italian service extensions

Senvion has signed extensions to existing service contracts for wind farms in Italy totalling 108MW.

The extension agreements are with ERG, Italy’s largest wind operator, for two wind farms comprising more than 84MW of installed capacity and Libeccio for a wind farm in Sicily consisting of just under 24MW.

ERG’s Troja and San Vincenzo wind farms comprise 20 Senvion MM92 and 21 Senvion MM82 turbines, respectively.

Senvion has concluded an agreement to operate both wind parks under one single contract.

The agreement includes extending the existing ‘utility model contract’ for Troia San Vincenzo for a further five years. Troia San Vincenzo was the first wind farm awarded to Senvion in Italy in 2004.

Libeccio’s Vento di Vino-Mazara wind farm in Sicily consists of seven Senvion 3.4MW turbines and the extension agreement is for the next eight years.

Senvion signed the full-service contract for Vento di Vino-Mazara seven years ago, providing the service and maintenance since the installation.

ERG’s Troja and San Vincenzo wind farms and Libeccio’s Vento di Vino-Mazara are part of the 14.1GW installed capacity serviced by Senvion globally.

Senvion chief executive Yves Rannou said: “We are delighted to confirm these contract extensions and wish to thank both Libeccio and ERG for their continued confidence in our services during these challenging times.

“The long-term, sustainable success of Senvion is contingent not only on our current transformation programme, but also the delivery of excellent results through our trustful partnership with customers around the world. This has been a strong focus for us and will continue to be so.”
