EDF Energies Nouvelles’s 350MW Riviere-du-Moulin wind farm in Quebec is fully operational.
The project consists of 175 2MW Senvion MM92 and MM82 cold climate version units.
Several of the turbines are also equipped with Senvion’s de-icing technology.
The project is Senvion’s biggest ever contract for an onshore wind farm and is part of a 1GW framework agreement signed with EDF EN in 2009.
Senvion chief executive officer Andreas Nauen said: “As the largest onshore wind project in our history, Riviere-du-Moulin represents more than a third of our installed capacity in Quebec.”
