Siemens has confirmed an order to supply turbines for Futuren’s 21MW Courant-Nachamps wind farm in southwestern France.
The manufacturer will deliver seven SWT-3.2-113 machines to the project in the Charente-Maritime department.
The contract includes service and maintenance during 21 years, it said.
French developer Futuren started building the wind farm in mid-March and aims to commission the facility in early 2018.
“We are proud to continue our collaboration with the Futuren Group as this international company is an important player in the French renewable market,” Siemens Wind Power onshore chief executive Thomas Richterich said.
“At the same time the new project strengthens our direct-drive technology in France.”
