A blade has broken on a Siemens Gamesa turbine at a large wind farm in Sweden owned by Enlight Renewable Energy and Prime Capital’s Prime Green Infrastructure Fund (PGEIF).
The damage occurred on Sunday 3 November to a turbine blade at the 372MW Bjornberget array.
According to a statement by the owners, no one was injured and a safety zone has been established around the machine in question.
“We urge everyone visiting the area to respect the closures to avoid the risk of personal injury,” stated Enlight Renewable Energy and Prime Capital’s PGEIF.
They added: “An investigation is underway into what caused the incident and we are in ongoing contact with the relevant stakeholders and authorities.”
Bjornberget is located 10km south-east of Ange and consists of 60 turbines.

Construction began in 2021, followed by commissioning in 2023.
RES, which built the wind farm, is responsible for operation and maintenance.
