Siemens Gamesa has installed 33 turbines for Thai engineering company Gunkul’s 67.5MW Sarahnlom wind farm in the Nakhon Ratchasima province in central Thailand
The 33-turbine project is a mix of G114 2MW and 2.1MW machines with total heights of 210 metres – the tallest turbines in Asia, Siemens Gamesa said.
The hardware will be commissioned this year and Siemens Gamesa will also carry operations and maintenance for the next 10 years.
The project is being built by PowerChina ZhongNan.
Siemens Gamesa Asia-Pacific chief executive Álvaro Bilbao said: “We are demonstrating once again our ability to respond to what the market needs and the versatility of our turbines.”
