ScottishPower Renewables (SPR) has officially opened the 69MW Dersalloch wind farm in South Ayrshire, Scotland.
The project, which is located on Dersalloch Hill between Straiton and Dalmellington, consists of 23 Siemens D3 direct drive 3MW turbines.
Local groups will also be boosted by a community benefits package linked to the project worth more than £8.5m over the next 25 years.
SPR said Dersalloch is the first of eight onshore wind farms it is currently developing in Scotland.
