SSE’s 34.5MW Tievenameenta wind farm in Northern Ireland has entered full commercial operation.
The 15-turbine County Tyrone wind farm started construction and was finished in less than 12 months, the utility-developer said.
It features Siemens 2.3MW hardware and brings SSE’s Northern Ireland portfolio to 122.5MW.
Project manager Garry Brides said completing a 12-month construction window was a “fantastic achievement”.
He said the SSE team, contractors and the local community all had a role to play in the successful completion of the site.
