Inox Wind has received a repeat order from Tata Power Renewable Energy for a 100MW wind power project at Rojmal in Gujarat in India.
Inox will supply and install 50 2MW DFIG 100 rotor dia turbines.
The company will develop, construct and commission the wind farm, as well as provide long-term operations and maintenance services.
Rojmal is one of the largest wind farms in Gujarat with a potential capacity of 400MW. More than 140MW is already operational including 50MW for Tata.
The deal is the fourth between the two companies and brings total orders to 300MW.
Inox Wind chief executive officer Kailash Tarachandani said: “The fourth order from an esteemed customer like [Tata] underlines the strength of the growing partnership between the two companies and reaffirms customers’ confidence in Inox Wind’s 2MW platform.”
Tata Power Renewable Energy CEO Rahul Shah said: “We are confident that Inox will again deliver the project safely, timely and of top notch quality. We look forward to building a long and fruitful relationship with Inox on the strong foundation of the previous successful projects in Gujarat and Rajasthan.”
