Tilt Renewables has reached financial close on the 336MW Dundonnell wind farm in the Australian state of Victoria.
Construction is slated to start next year and the project is scheduled to be operational in late 2020, the company said.
Vestas will supply 80 V150-4.2MW turbines under an engineering, procurement and construction contract, with AusNet Services delivering the transmission connection under a build, own and operate model.
The A$560m (€357m) wind farm will have a shared transmission line, which can be used by other wind farm operators. This will minimise the number of poles and wires, the company added.
Tilt Renewables chief executive Deion Campbell said: “These partners are competent and experienced market participants with whom we have worked successfully on other projects and we are confident they will deliver the expected outcomes for this hugely important project.”
About 87% of the output from Dundonnell will be supplied to the Victorian state government and Snowy Hydro.
