Belgian renewables developer Elicio has started building the first of nine Gamesa G97 2MW turbines at the 18MW Quint wind farm in Flers-Sur-Noye in Picardy.
The crane to carry out the work was assembled last week and the first tower section was installed on 10 October, the company said.
The nine foundations for the project were completed in September, it added.
Commissioning of the turbines is expected in the first quarter of 2017.
