Vencom Fulmar has partnered with ASKO Fornybar to deliver the 40MW Svanabyn wind farm in Dorotea municipality, Sweden.
The project will feature six turbines with an estimated annual production of 150GWh, equivalent to the electricity needs of about 26,000 households.
Procurement of turbines and subcontractors was initiated by Vencom and will continue as part of the joint development, with construction scheduled mainly for 2027 and operation expected in 2028.
ASKO Fornybar chief executive Ronny Johnsrod said: “We are entering this project with a long-term perspective and will focus on maintaining an open and constructive dialogue with the local community throughout the development process.”
Vencom Fulmar chief executive Jacob Lundqvist said: “We are proud and pleased to have secured the realisation of the Svanabyn wind farm through our partnership with ASKO Fornybar.”
The facility will connect primarily through an existing power line corridor between Svanabyn and Hoting.
Vencom Fulmar chairman Johan A Gustavsson said: “This marks a major milestone for Vencom Fulmar, as Svanabyn is our first fully permitted project. It represents a significant step in our development activities, which currently include eleven projects with a combined expected capacity of about 1.4GW.”
