Danish company Vestas is to deliver optimised V136 turbines to the 202MW Whitla wind farm in Alberta, Canada.
The manufacturer signed a deal with Capital Power to deliver 3.6MW hardware to the the auction-winning project.
Deliveries are due to kick off in the second quarter of next year with commissioning due before end-2019.
The deal includes a 10-year service package.

Whitla was one of four projects to secure capacity in Alberta’s initial renewable energy auction in 2017.
The province has set a long-term goal of installing 5000MW of renewables by 2030.
