Vestas has secured a 40MW turbine order from Eurowind Energy and Windbud for five polish wind projects.
The order is for 20 V100 2MW turbines, which will be installed and commissioned through 2022.
Windbud CEO Josef Ziaja said: “We take pride in having progressed the five projects to this point.
“All developers will tell you that placing the turbine order is always a special milestone.
“We look forward to working with Vestas and the other suppliers on the next steps for the projects in the coming months.”
The four projects are located in the central and northern part of Poland.
They are Chodziez (8MW), Gosciejewo (2MW), Rawicz (6MW) and Gostynin (2MW), while Zolkiewka (22MW) is located in the south east.
Eurowind Energy Poland country manager Malgorzata Szambelanczyk said: “We are very pleased that our joint projects has reached this milestone.
“The turbine order and our development pipeline is a testament to our commitment to the Polish market and the Polish energy transition.
“With our joint setup with Windbud and our own projects, we are well positioned for the expected significant growth in the Polish market.”
All five wind farms have secured a subsidy with the Polish state.
