Vestas has received turbine orders totalling 143MW from two deals in Finland and France.

The company has secured an 87MW turbine order from ABO Wind for the Pajuperankagas wind farm in Finland.

The deal includes supply and installation of 14 V162-6.2MW turbines and adds to almost 2GW in firm orders already received in Finland for the EnVentus platform.

Delivery will start in the second quarter of 2023 and the project will be fully commissioned by the fourth quarter the same year.

Vestas will also provide service for the project through a 25-year active output management 5000 agreement.

Pajuperankagas will be situated in Haapajarvi municipality in the North Ostrobothnia region of the country.

Vestas vice president sales North and Wast Juan Furones said: “We are delighted to engage in a new project with ABO Wind, underling the strong partnership we have globally and our shared vision for a sustainable future.

“We are certain that the reliability and competitiveness of the EnVentus platform combined with the 25-year service agreement, designed to ensure optimised performance of the asset, will provide ABO Wind with long-term certainty and optimise their business case.”

The company has also received a 56MW turbine order for an unnamed wind farm in France.

The contract includes the supply and installation of 18 machines of the 4MW platform.

They include V136-3.45MW, V126-3.45MW and V117-3.45MW turbines delivered in various power optimised modes.

The contract also includes a 10-year AOM 5000 service agreement.

Turbine delivery and commissioning are scheduled for the second half of 2022.

The project and customer are undisclosed.
