Vestas has won an 8MW order for its 4MW turbine platform in the US with an unnamed customer.
The components qualify for the 60% production tax credit (PTC) value, the company said.

They will enable future wind energy projects that complete construction by the end of 2024, it added.
Vestas said that the PTC terms have resulted in billions of dollars in wind energy investment in the US, including expansions in domestic manufacturing and supply chain, construction, transportation, tax revenue to local communities, as well as the addition of tens of thousands of jobs across the wind value chain.
