Vestas has confirmed a 34MW turbine order from Rabbalshede Kraft for the Arjang NV2 wind farm in Varmland County in west-central Sweden.
The project will comprise eight V150-4.2MW turbines with 155-metre towers.
Vestas will also provide a 25-year active output management 5000 service contract.
Delivery is expected to start in the first quarter of 2022, while commissioning is planned for the third quarter of the same year.
The contract includes supply, installation and commissioning of the turbines as well as a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution, lowering turbine downtime and optimising the energy output, Vestas said.
Rabbalshede Kraft chief executive Peter Wesslau said: “The Arjang NV2 project is an important part of our portfolio and a further step in our strategic growth and our ambition to shape tomorrow’s sustainable and renewable energy.
“Vestas is a trusted partner in the region and has shown great endurance and commitment throughout the project.”
Vestas vice president of sales north and west Juan Furones said: “I would like to thank our longstanding partner Rabbalshede Kraft for the confidence they have shown in the capabilities and competitiveness of our 4MW platform technology and our services.
“For the site’s wind conditions, the V150-4.2MW turbine is the optimal fit and will ensure maximum value for our customer’s business case.”
