Vestas has received a new 135MW order from Ilmatar Energy for four projects in Finland.
This order marks the next cooperation with Ilmatar Energy after a 221MW order in June last year for another Finnish wind farm.
The order includes the supply, installation, and commissioning of V162-6.2MW and V150-4.2MW wind turbines, delivered in various operating modes, for the four projects.
It also features a 35-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement for the three EnVentus projects, as well as one 30-year AOM 5000 for the fourth project site.
Vestas vice president for sales north & west Juan Furones said: “We are delighted to build on our partnership with Ilmatar Energy, underlying the shared vision for a sustainable future.
“After having delivered several successful projects to Ilmatar Energy, they entrust us once again with a major order, including long-term service agreements, designed to ensure optimised performance of the assets.
“The four projects together will add another 135MW of clean energy to the Finnish energy mix, supporting the country’s ambition towards a greener future.”
Ilmatar Energy Oy chief executive Juha Sarsama added: “We are happy to continue our collaboration with Vestas with this 135MW project portfolio.
“The order plays a significant role in our strategy to become one of the leading Independent Power Producers in the Nordics.”
Deliveries and installation at the four sites are expected to begin in the second quarter of 2023, while commissioning is planned for the third quarter of 2023.
