Vestas closed out 2022 with a turbine deal from DTEK Renewable International & Moldova Eolian for the 60MW Ruginoasa wind project in Romania.
The site will feature ten V162 turbines rated at 6MW and with hub heights of 125 metres.
The order includes supply, installation, and commissioning of the turbines, as well as a 20-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement.
Turbine delivery will begin in the third quarter of 2023 with commissioning scheduled in the fourth quarter of 2023.
“Vestas is thrilled to deliver our turbine technology to Romania which leverages the versatility and strong performance of the EnVentus platform technology, Vestas’ next generation in the evolution of wind turbine,” said Nils de Baar, President of Vestas Northern & Central Europe.
“Our thanks goes to DTEK Renewable International & Moldova Eolian for their trust in us”.
The deal was the last of a flurry of Vestas orders for the fourth quarter of 2022 announced last week and totalling several hundred megawatts.
