Vestas has secured a deal to supply turbines to two wind farms in Vietnam totalling 100MW of capacity.
The Danish manufacturer will deliver and install V150-4.2MW units for the Nhon Hoa 1 and 2 projects, each 50MW, in Gia Lai province.
The deal includes a 20-year service arrangement for both projects, which are expected to be commissioned in the third quarter of 2021.
The order has been placed by Phu Dien JSC.
“Vestas is pleased to secure two more projects with Phu Dien JSC in Vietnam,” said Clive Turton, Vestas Asia Pacific president.
“Our partnership demonstrates Phu Dien JSC’s trust and confidence in Vestas’ industry leading wind energy solutions.
“This deal will further strengthen our commitment to support Vietnam’s ambitions to grow its renewable energy sources.”
The order takes Vestas’ total order intake in Vietnam past 1GW in 2020.
