Vestas has won a deal to supply and install 172MW across six wind farms in Brazil.
The contract will see the Danish turbine manufacturer deliver some 86 V110-2.0MW machines to the state of Bahía. The names of the projects have not been disclosed.
Delivery is planned for the second quarter of next year with commissioning expected by the end of 2017.
President of Vestas Mediterranean Macro Graziano said: “Today’s orders cover six different sites across Bahía and is a great example of how well-suited the V110-2.0 MW is for Brazil, its wind conditions and geographical span.
“Brazil was Vestas’ fifth largest market for order intake in 2015, and we have a strategic ambition to grow further there.”
