Tornadoes have destroyed up to ten turbines at wind farms in the US state of Iowa.
The storms, which caused widespread damage in the area, hit projects in the south-west part of the state, according to reports.

Images from news outlets, including AP, show turbine towers bent over. Other video shows the machines on fire during the worst of the winds.
The name of the wind farms is not yet clear.
The worst affected area in the state was the town of Greenfield, with a population of around 2000 people. It has been largely destroyed.
Sgt Alex Dinkla, a spokesperson for the Iowa State Patrol, said: “This tornado has devastated a good portion of this town.
“Sadly, we can confirm that there have been fatalities. We’re still counting at this time.”
