Revenue at Acciona Energy fell 19.1% in the first quarter of 2017 to €463m, compared with the same period last year.
Earnings were also down by 2.1% to €208m in the period, despite revenue and earnings from power generation increasing 7.7% and 5.6% to €361m and €226m, respectively.
The Spanish company said the overall drop was a reflection of the sale of the Acciona Windpower unit to Nordex last year.
The company said during the quarter it added 228MW of new solar capacity in Chile, 93MW of wind in the US and a further 51MW of wind in India.
Overall, Acciona reported a €60m net profit in the first quarter of the year, an increase of 20.8% on last year. The improvement was helped by a strong performance in the construction business, the company said.
