Argentina has awarded support to 1281MW of wind and solar projects in its second renewable energy auction.
The so-called Ronda 1.5 tender, which targeted projects that didn’t win support in the first auction, selected 10 wind farms totalling 765MW and 20 solar parks with total capacity of 516MW.
They will earn an average price of $54 per MWh, or $7.3 less than the winners of the first auction, the energy ministry said.
Argentina granted support to 1.1GW of projects last month and is planning more tenders to boost the supply of renewable energy.
