A crane operator working for contractor Blattner Energy has died following an accident during construction of MidAmerican Energy’s North English wind farm in Iowa.
A MidAmerican spokeswoman said: “The specifics of the accident, including the cause, are currently unknown but are under investigation.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with this man’s family, friends and co-workers.”
The wind farm, which is located in Poweshiek County, is part of MidAmerican’s Wind XI project and is scheduled for completion in December.
