Deutsche Windtechnik has entered the French market signing service contracts with several operators for Nordex N90, Senvion NM92 and Fuhrländer FL 2500 turbines at five wind farms.
The German company has also sealed a component replacement deal for its French business, which is headquartered in Reims in the northeast of the country.
The service contracts are for the Saint Pierre de Maillé I and II wind farms, which each consist of five FL 2500 units, 14 MM92 machines at the Chemin des Haguenets project and six MM92 turbines at the Renardière facility.
The component replacement deal was carried out over five days at the start of August on the Eparmonts wind farm.
It involved the replacement of a defective main bearing on a Senvion MD-Series wind turbine, Deutsche Windtechnik said.
Operational management will be overseen by the managing directors of Deutsche Windtechnik X-Service, Holger Hämel and Severin Mielimonka, while Mohamed Metahri will head up business development in France.
Deutsche Windtechnik chairman Matthias Brandt said: “In the next three years we are expecting the foreign share of our business to more than double what it is this year.
“The share is currently 12%, and we foresee this being 30% in three years.”
