Infrastructure fund manager DIF has awarded Deutsche Windtechnik a service contract for 25 Enercon turbines across four wind farms in Germany.
Deutsche Windtechnik, from 2019, will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Büren wind farm that features 10 E-70 machines and the Masterhausen 1 project with seven E-70 turbines.
Deutsche Windtechnik will also take on O&M for the Masterhausen 2 wind farm where three E-82 turbines are installed, as well as the Springe-Benningsen project which has five E-82 machines.
The full service contracts have a duration of eight to 10 years with options of an up-to five-year extension. They include securitisation against external damages.
DIF and Deutsche Windtechnik cooperated in other projects and now sealed a service contract for Enercon turbines for the first time.
DIF Germany executive David Lau said: “We have positive experience from other wind farms with the hedging against external damages and the work with Deutsche Windtechnik.”
