Deutsche Windtechnik’s French unit will start providing maintenance for turbines from Vestas for the first time in June.
The deal will run for four years and cover a total of 22 2MW V90 machines in France.
Ten turbines are located in Picardy, six in Centre and six in Brittany, Deutsche Windtechnik said.
It added that the close proximity to the La Renardière, CDH and SPDM 1 and SPDM 2 wind farms, which already have maintenance contracts, makes it possible to use the existing infrastructure for the new work.
Deutsche Windtechnik is also planning to open an office in Picardy, in addition to its headquarters in Châlons-en-Champagne, and is hiring technicians for Vestas, Senvion, Fuhrländer and Nordex turbines.
