Deutsche Windtechnik has won two service contracts for a total of 34 Siemens SWT 1.3MW 62 turbines from Scottish Power.
The deals are each for three years, with the option of two extensions, for the 20-turbine Hagshaw Hill II and 14-unit Wether Hill wind farms.
The Wether Hill contract also includes a scheduled 10-year maintenance programme, Deutsche Windtechnik said.
Deutsche Windtechnik chief executive officer Billy Stevenson said: “We have shown that independent service providers can offer a real alternative and can compete with the services of the manufacturer.
“We are prepared to take on more service contracts and have the manpower and infrastructure to operate throughout the UK.
“A new central warehouse, already in planning, will also provide wind farm owners and operators with confidence in our intentions.”
