Energy services company Wood Group has supported Blue Energy’s sale of a 149MW portfolio of UK wind projects to Octopus Investments by providing technical due diligence work.
The work included reviewing project design and technology, operational performance, environmental aspects, construction contracts and health and safety compliance.
Last month, Blue sold the 109MW Beinneun (pictured), 21MW Cour and 6.9MW Hillhead of Auquhirie projects in Scotland, as well as the 12.3MW Grange project in England, to Octopus.
“Wood Group prepared, against a tight timeline, an independent vendor due diligence and updated operational wind reports which were used by the purchaser during the transaction,” Blue Energy chief executive Chris Dean said.
