Enel is to supply renewable electricity to cover all operations in Chile for mining company AngloAmerican from 2021.
The 10-year contract with Chilean subsidiary Enel Generacion Chile is for 3 terrawatt-hours of electricity a year and is the largest renewable energy supply deal ever signed by the Enel Group in terms of annual volumes.

The agreement will help AngloAmerican reduce its total carbon dioxide emissions in Chile by over 70%, Enel said.
The Enel Group operates in Chile through Enel Chile and its subsidiaries, Enel Generacion Chile and Enel Green Power Chile in the generation sector.
