Glennmont Partners has refinanced the 40MW Sleaford biomass plant (pictured) in Lincolnshire via a £150m placement to a large, unnamed European investor.
The straw-fired facility, operated by Burmeister & Wain Scandinavian Contractor, has been running since 2014.
The placement is the largest institutional-only financing in the UK biomass sector to date, Glenmont said.
Deutsche Bank acted as lead arranger, security trustee and account bank.
