Ofgem has awarded Black & Veatch a renewable electricity generator audit contract in the UK.
Under the terms of the deal for the next 18 months Black & Veatch will assess hundreds of renewable electricity generation sites that receive Renewable Obligation or Feed-in Tariff income.
The audits aim to ensure that the sites are compliant with the relevant scheme requirements.
Black & Veatch director for renewable energy in the UK Robbie Gibson said: “The assessments cover all forms of renewable electricity generation in the UK: onshore and offshore wind, solar, biomass/biofuels and includes off-grid sites as well as sites with energy storage.
“The depth, and distribution, of our UK renewables expertise makes us ideally suited to completing this diverse range of technical audits.
“Winning the latest renewable electricity generator audits contract demonstrates continued confidence in our capabilities across the renewable energy spectrum.
“Among the areas we see growing in significance are helping clients optimise performance of existing wind and solar assets.”
