Indian giant Tata increased its earnings from renewables to Rs88 Crores in the second quarter of the 2017 financial year, compared with Rs59 Crores in the same period last year.
Profit after tax was also up at Rs15 Crores from Rs10 Crores in the 2016 financial year.
The company said higher generation and availability of renewables boosted earnings and profit in the quarter.
Operating wind capacity stood at 228MW, while solar projects accounted for 53.8MW.
Some 428MW of renewable energy projects are under development, of which wind accounts for 108MW and solar 320MW.
Tata said it also completed the acquisition of Welspun Renewables Energy during the period.
