The organiser of an international offshore wind forum taking place in France has postponed the event due to the coronavirus pandemic.
This year’s edition of Seanergy, an international forum dedicated to offshore wind and marine renewable energy, was initially scheduled for 9-12 June 2020 in France.
The new dates for the show and exhibition are from 30 June to 3 July 2020.
Event organiser Bluesign said: “In order not to compromise the health of its exhibitors, partners and visitors, and so that the event takes place in the best conditions and allow everyone to prepare their participation as well as possible, Bluesign, in a common agreement with its main partners, has decided to postpone the event in Pays de la Loire from June 30 to July 3, 2020 in Nantes and Saint-Nazaire.”
Technical visits and side events will take place from 30 June to 3 July, while the exhibition, conferences, meetings, job search and poster sessions will take place on 1 and 2 July.
The 7th national conference on Marine Energy, organised by the French renewable energy trade association SER is also postponed and will be held on Tuesday 30 June 2020 in Saint-Nazaire, before Seanergy.
“Faced with this crisis and its consequences, we will meet at Seanergy with enthusiasm and solidarity to continue building our collective cooperation to meet the energy emergency. We are making every effort to make this edition a major milestone in the development of the sector,” stated SER.
