Cubico, BaxEnergy form exclusive partnership

reNEWS EditorialBy reNEWS EditorialMarch 31, 20252 Mins Read
Commission gives nod to 4.6GW of Italian renewables

Cubico Sustainable Investments has chosen software specialist BaxEnergy to support its global 2100MW portfolio of solar and wind assets.

BaxEnergy will help streamline operations and boost performance across the portfolio as Cubico’s exclusive provider of renewable energy management solutions.

The deal follows BaxEnergy’s three-year partnership with Cubico’s regional operation in Italy, managing 255MW of wind and solar assets.

Until now, Cubico had engaged with different solar monitoring service providers to manage assets across the company’s global portfolio.

However, the company said this approach was not optimal for consistency, which led to the strategic decision to unify operations.

The implementation of BaxEnergy’s asset management solutions in Italy has helped transform how data is managed, cutting operational time by up to 50% and enabling faster, more informed decisions, Cubico said.

Through the new strategic partnership, BaxEnergy will provide its monitoring, reporting and automation solution to help Cubico optimise the performance of its global 2100MW portfolio.

BaxEnergy’s Asset Performance Management (APM) solution, Energy Studio Pro (ESPx) gives Cubico full control to track key performance indicators, customise reports, and optimise performance.

Cubico’s senior solar performance analyst Fernando Rodriguez Alvarado said: “Moving towards a single provider of asset performance management is an important step for Cubico.

“Data is critical to our operations, and having a standardised approach to collecting, analysing and reporting it will simplify our workflows and make us more efficient across all of our markets.

“It will also help us to seamlessly drive forward our ambitious growth plans over the coming years.

“We are excited to partner with BaxEnergy in delivering what will be an important step for our global business.

“Building on the strong trust we’ve developed through our existing regional collaboration in Italy, we’re confident this partnership will play a significant role in our push to deliver renewable projects that drive the energy transition forward.”

BaxEnergy’s executive vice-president Roberto Tundo said: “We are proud to welcome Cubico global business to BaxEnergy, following a successful working relationship with Cubico Italia – based on mutual respect and progress of a shared renewable vision.

“Our goal is to be more than just a technology provider – we want to be a trusted one-stop shop partner helping drive performance, growth, and long-term impact across their global operation.”
