Independent TD Denis Naughten has been appointed as Dublin’s new climate change minister.
The Roscommon/Galway politician has been handed the ministry in the new minority government which was formed today after Enda Kenny was re-elected as Taoiseach.
The former Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources now becomes the Department of Communications, Climate Change and Natural Resources.
It is expected that the remodelled ministry will include energy affairs.
Naughten (pictured) replaces Labour TD Alex White who lost his seat in February’s election.
