Renewable energy consultancy Dulas has cut the ribbon on a new Dublin office.
Dulas said that it will support developers in Ireland who are facing planning and other challenges in the wind, solar and hydro sectors.
The new Dublin base will be a technical consultancy, Dulas said, and will also assist UK developers keen on entering the Irish market.
Phil Horton, the company’s Managing Director (pictured), said: “While the Republic of Ireland’s clean energy industry has been showing steady growth in recent years, many more projects need to be commissioned if renewable energy sources are to make up 16% of final energy consumption by 2020.
“While challenges persist, particularly in regard to planning permission, developers need to think intelligently about how they will safeguard prospective projects in future.”
He added: “Our presence in Ireland has increased in line with the market over the past few years, and our new Dublin office should ensure that we can further support and develop our clients’ projects in the lead up to 2020.”
The new office will be based in Santry, north Dublin.
