EDF Energies Nouvelles has renamed itself EDF Renouvelables in France to harmonise with the renewables branch’s international name.
The company is already using the brand EDF Renewables for its clean energy operations outside France.
EDF Renouvelables chief executive Bruno Bensasson said: “With this new brand, EDF Renouvelables in France and EDF Renewables abroad asserts itself as a global leader in the area of renewables energies that is accelerating its development with strong ambitions when it comes to onshore and offshore wind, solar energy and storage.”
The company aims to double its renewables capacity by 2030 compared with 2015.
It currently has 14.2GW of installed clean energy across the world.
