Ingrid and Energiequelle have formed a partnership to develop 200MW of grid-connected battery energy storage systems across Germany.
Energiequelle will lead project development while Ingrid will handle financing, operations and optimisation via its internal trading and optimisation platform, the companies said.
The projects will be deployed in distribution grids with a focus on locations where flexibility is most needed, according to the announcement.
Most schemes are expected to be ready for construction in 2026.

By 2030, we want to increase more than 1GW of flexible plants and thus overcome the challenges in the power grid. Energiequelle’s proven track record and in-depth market knowledge make it an ideal partner for us on this journey,” said Axel Holmberg, chief executive of Ingrid.
Ingrid already operates or builds more than 450MW of battery storage and has raised over €300m in capital, including Finland’s largest storage facility at 70MW.
