French marine services provider Bourbon has successfully requested the suspension of trading of its shares after creditors sought repayment of $800m.
The company, which listed on the Euronext in Paris, said it is guarantor to part of the amount.

The creditors have not been identified and have requested the payment from unnamed Bourbon “group affiliates”, the latter said.
The French company said it will “pursue discussions with its creditors with the objective to take all appropriate measures to protects its interests and those of its personnel”.
A “new press release” on the matter is pending and is expected later this week, it is understood.
Bourbon is active mainly in the floating offshore wind market.
