EDF Renewables earnings grew over 22% to €405m in the first half of 2019, compared with €360m in the same period last year.
The company said the figures were down to improved power prices and more favourable wind conditions.
Renewables sales were up to €776m from €735m, again boosted by prices and good weather for wind power.
However, output was down to 7.5 terrawatt-hours from 7.2TWh as the result of disposals that took place in late 2018 and early 2019.
EDF Renewables’ sales were also hit by a €30m decrease in the first half of 2019 as a result of lower business levels in distributed solar power in the US.
Net installed capacity at the 30 June was 8GW, with a further 4GW under construction made up of onshore wind and solar.
Overall, EDF made a net profit of over €3.5bn in the first six months of 2019, up more than 79% on the almost €1.98bn profit posted in the same period of 2018.
