About €4bn will be raised by the company’s asset rotation strategy and a further €2bn from the sale of thermal generation assets in Europe.
Between 5GW and 5.5GW of new onshore wind capacity will be added during the period, with 300MW of offshore and 2GW of solar.
EDP currently has 11.5GW of onshore wind and 100MW of solar installed, with 4.4GW of offshore wind under development in joint ventures.
Most of the growth – about 60% – will be in North America, with 20% in the EU and 10% each in Brazil and the rest of the world.
