Enel Green Power earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation fell slightly to just over €3.30bn in the first nine months of the year, from almost €3.33bn in 2018.
Revenue was down almost 4% to just under €5.55bn in the first three quarters of 2019, from close to €5.76bn the same period last year.
The company said the decline in earnings reflected the negative impact of the “changes in the scope of consolidation in the two periods”.
This was partly offset by an indemnity received following the early withdrawal of a major customer from an electricity supply contract in Chile and the increase in margins due to higher average prices despite declining sales volumes.
Capital expenditure at the company was up almost 63% to close to €2.90bn from just under €1.80bn in 2018.
